FORT WORTH, Texas, April 5, 2026–Dressage and jumper horses and some riders competing in the U.S. arrived Sunday for the World Cup Finals in this city for the first time.

Christian Simonson arrived with the top ranked American dressage horse, Indian Rock, along with his coach, Olympian Adrienne Lyle after driving from their base in Wellington, Florida.

Christian, already adapted to the Texas lifestyle, was wearing a cowboy hat as he led the 13-year-old Indian Rock off the trailer.

Indian Rock is owned by Zen Elite Equestrian Center that is also the official sponsor of the dressage competition that begins with the Grand Prix Thursday and the Freestyle to determine the championship on Saturday.

Benjamin Ebeling who was selected to compete Bellena as an extra starting place arrived shortly before Christian and Indian Rock.

Julio Mendoza Loor who is the most successful international dressage rider in Ecuador and based in North Carolina, was also in Fort Worth with his Olympic mount Jewel’s Goldstrike in their first World Cup Final.

The 11-year-old gelding Cody was among those arriving after being competed in jumping in Florida throughout the winter by Germany’s Rene Dittmer.

More dressage and jumper horses based in the U.S. will arrive by road Monday ahead of veterinary examinations for both disciplines Tuesday.

Horses from Europe that arrived Friday were exercised Sunday in their second day of quarantine stabling.
