Have you found a great place to work, where employees are listened to and have an opportunity to develop? If so, we want to hear about it.

The Austin American-Statesman has been honoring the best organizations across the region for 17 years through its Top Workplaces awards. Yours could be next.

Any organization in the metro area with 50 or more employees — be it a public or private company, a nonprofit or a government agency — is eligible to take part. The standout employers will be honored this fall for their outstanding workplace culture in a special section and at our annual awards ceremony.

But it all starts with a nomination.

Anyone can nominate an an outstanding company or organization. Nominations are open and run through May 22. There is no charge. To make a nomination or for more information on the awards, visit statesman.com/nominate or call (512) 551-0614.

There is no cost to participate. To qualify, employees evaluate their workplace using a short survey that takes just a few minutes to complete. It covers topics such as company values, communications, workplace dynamics, employee engagement, leadership, pay and benefits. Companies will be surveyed through July.

Winners are ranked in three size categories. They earn recognition if their survey score exceeds national standard benchmarks and ranks among the top tier of surveyed organizations. The benchmarks are set by Energage, our Pennsylvania-based research partner. It conducts Top Workplaces surveys for media in 70 markets nationwide and surveyed more than 2 million employees at more than 8,000 organizations in the past year.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a celebration of excellence,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “It serves as a reminder of the vital role a people-first workplace experience plays in achieving success.”

Last year, more than 3,000 organizations in the Austin area were invited to survey their employees and 115 earned recognition as Top Workplaces.
