The FBI Atlanta’s Violent Crime Squad has arrested the ninth suspect in connection with the January kidnapping and robbery of rapper Gucci Mane at a Dallas recording studio.

FBI Atlanta confirmed the arrest of Terrance Rodgers in a social media post on Friday afternoon. Rodgers was the last of nine suspects arrested and was not in custody when the U.S. Department of Justice announced the federal charges on Thursday.

According to the DOJ, rapper Lontrell Williams, Jr., known by his stage name Pooh Shiesty, traveled to Dallas with eight other defendants for the purpose of kidnapping and robbing the victims and thereby “achieve their purported business objectives.”

The complaint alleges that three unnamed music industry professionals also traveled to the city for what they thought was a business meeting arranged by Williams, Jr. The rapper allegedly wanted to discuss the terms of his recording contract with one of the victims.

Williams, Jr. is widely known to be signed to the music label 1017 Records, the label Gucci Mane, whose legal name Radric Davis, founded in 2007.

“As alleged, once these three men were inside the studio, Williams, Jr. and eight co-conspirators, several of whom traveled from Memphis, executed a coordinated armed takeover,” the DOJ release states.

Williams, Jr. allegedly produced an AK-style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gun point. “The remaining conspirators displayed firearms and robbed the other victims of Rolex watches, jewelry, cash, and other high-value items,” it states.

According to the DOJ, one victim was choked to the point of near unconsciousness. Photos of the victim, who is not Davis, show abrasions to the man’s neck and wrist.

The DOJ release includes a screenshot of a video allegedly posted to Rodgers’ social media after the crime. It features him wearing a Rolex believed to be stolen in the robbery.
