LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A pleasant Easter afternoon after a chilly start. The morning low was 38. However, the afternoon temperature just fell short of the 70-degree mark at 69 degrees.

The upcoming week will feature mild temperatures again on Monday with mostly sunny skies. Tuesday will bring a slight chance for showers and storms. The rain potential will drop Wednesday but return late week.

Rain chances will return on Tuesday, but slight as of current forecast. Rain chances decrease on Wednesday along with warmer temperatures and mixture of sun and clouds dominating the region.

Temperatures will be fairly typical for April with highs in the upper 60s, to 70s and maybe some 80s on Wednesday.
