A man was hospitalized after being shot in the leg during an argument outside a west side home late Sunday night.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is recovering after being shot during an argument outside a west-side home late Sunday night.

According to San Antonio police, the shooting happened around 11:56 p.m. in the 4800 block of Hemphill Street near West Broadview Drive.

Investigators say a man in his 30s had just arrived at his girlfriend’s home when an argument broke out.

Police say the woman’s father came outside with a gun and fired at the man, striking him in the leg.

The victim was taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the suspect left the scene in a vehicle with another person, was later dropped off, and is believed to be walking in the area.

No arrests have been made.
