ROCKPORT, Texas – The City of Rockport is partnering with a local trash service to provide residents with a special yard-waste pickup program.

The service is exclusively for bagged leaves and grass clippings and begins Wednesday, Nov. 5. Residents within the city limits can take part in the four-week program.

Each household may place up to 12 bags per week on the curb. Accepted materials include leaves, grass clippings, thatch, tree trimmings with limbs less than 4 inches in diameter, and garden waste. Bags should not exceed 35 gallons and must not contain dirt, stumps, or large limbs.

Pickup for residents with trash collection on Monday or Tuesday will be on Wednesdays, while those with Wednesday or Friday trash days will have bags collected on Fridays.

Regular weekly trash and biweekly recycling services will continue as usual.
