For the first time this season, Texas A&M baseball will hit the road for midweek action Tuesday.
The No. 18 Aggies (25-6, 7-5 SEC) head to San Marcos to face Texas State in the second matchup between the two this season.
A&M defeated the Bobcats (21-10, 8-4 Sun Belt) 9-6 on March 17. Aggies center fielder Caden Sorrell hit two home runs as the Maroon and White overcame an early 4-0 deficit to secure the win in College Station.
A&M is one of the hottest teams in the country, going 8-2 in its last 10 games and entering Tuesday’s game are fourth in the country in home runs (66) and 14th in batting average (.322). The Aggies are coming off back-to-back series wins over Missouri and Vanderbilt and must face TSU before No. 2 Texas visits Aggieland this weekend.
The Bobcats have also been strong over the last 10 games, going 8-2 in that stretch with losses to Texas and Georgia Southern as the only blemishes.
