San Antonio shoppers, get ready to experience a new kind of store. Texas is set to receive its first-ever Pan-Asia Supermarket, complete with groceries, candies, and so much more.
Founded in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2010, the chain is known for its massive locations that offer a selection of Asian vegetables, fruits, seafood, and meat. The Alamo City space will go beyond that.
A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing submitted on Tuesday, April 2, 2026, shows that the hub is headed for the Northwest Side. It will take up over 60,000 square feet, a company spokesperson tells MySA, and feature “a vibrant food court featuring various fresh-made bakery, sushi, [and a] boba tea shop,” they say.
Online records list the exact address as 3713 Colony Drive, just over a mile away from the USAA Headquarters. It’s set to rival an H-E-B directly behind it on Wurzbach Road.
“San Antonio has a vibrant, diverse community and a growing demand for authentic international flavors,” the company spokesperson said over email. “We chose this specific location to better serve the city’s residents with a large-scale, high-quality shopping experience that was previously missing in this part of the market.”
They add that upon its grand opening, tentatively scheduled for Spring 2027, it will be the largest Asian Supermarket in the area, offering the most expansive selection of Asian and international products. According to the business’s website, its items come from several countries, including China, Vietnam, Singapore, and India.
Folks may notice it bears similarities to Austin’s ultra-popular H-Mart. Locals have been expressing desires for it to expand to San Antonio since at least last year. Last time MySA checked in, the company said it had no definitive updates regarding opening one, though it receives “a high volume of inquiries” about it.
Construction is scheduled to begin at the city’s Colonies North Shopping Center this summer, according to the TDLR report. Crews will work on combining three existing tenants to form the eighth Pan-Asia. Tasks should be completed by December of this year.
