An Everman resident claimed a $1 million Powerball prize resulting from the game’s March 14 drawing, according to the Texas Lottery.
The player, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket at Walmart Supercenter at 4800 U.S. 287 in Arlington.
The second-tier prize-winning Quick Pick ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (9-30-42-50-52) but not the red Powerball number (21), according to lottery officials
Walmart may be eligible for a $10,000 bonus under the Texas Lottery’s retailer bonus program for selling the prize winning ticket.
Players can win the grand prize by matching five white numbers from a field of 69 numbers, and one red Powerball number from a field of 26. Players who choose Power Play for $1 more per ticket can multiply their non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times.
Powerball drawings are broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:12 p.m. CT and can be streamed online.
