Do you need assistance enrolling your child, aged 3-4, in Dallas ISD’s Pre-K program? NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 invite you to come to Bachman Lake Together’s Family Center on Saturday, April 18, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and receive free hands-on assistance. Bachman Lake Together can also help you enroll older children in Dallas ISD (DISD). This in-person workshop is completely free to families. Assistance will also be offered in Spanish.
This year, the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to offer the Pre-K program free to all 3-year-old and 4-year-old students in the district. Students were previously required to meet federal, state, and district eligibility requirements, such as income or language status, to qualify for free enrollment. Bachman Lake Together encourages parents to take advantage of the district’s universal Pre-K.
Please remember to bring the required documentation to enroll your child.
These include:
The child’s birth certificate
A picture of the ID of the child’s parent or legal guardian
Proof of address
The child’s current immunization record
Let Bachman Lake Together help you enroll your child, answer your questions, and ease your nerves. Click HERE to register for the in-person workshop. The registration form is offered in both English and Spanish.

About Bachman Lake Together
Bachman Lake Together is a nonprofit, collective-impact initiative that connects families, community partners and supporters in a shared purpose of giving every child in the surrounding neighborhood the opportunity to thrive. This is done by supporting four critical foundations: Early Childhood, Elementary School Support, Parent Leadership & Advocacy, and Family Well-Being. They believe this goal will be most effectively achieved when they work together and everyone has a voice in the process. The Family Center, located in the heart of the neighborhood, serves as a hub and place of belonging for their families, partners, and programs. Learn more about Bachman Lake Together here.
