Fatima Lucero Peralta, 35, died at 1:31 a.m. at the scene, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.
Grand Prairie officers responded to reports of an automobile-pedestrian accident at about 1:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of I-30 westbound, according to a previous statement.
Investigators determined Peralta was walking in the main lanes of the highway when she was struck by a driver who did not see her.
The Grand Prairie Fire Department arrived at the scene, where Peralta was pronounced dead, the statement said.
Police said the driver was not injured and cooperated with investigators.
