EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — EP Dentistry for Kids is once again giving back to the El Paso community through its “Caring for Community” program.
This year, the program will distribute $10,000 to three nonprofit organizations.
Mary Lou Gonzalez explained that the first-place winner will receive $5,000, the second-place organization will get $3,000, and the third-place will be awarded $2,000.
The program, which runs twice a year, focuses on nonprofits in the fall and schools in the spring. Gonzalez said,
“Nominations will start on November 10th and go through November 17th.” The top nine organizations with the most nominations will advance to the voting round, which will take place from Nov. 21 through Dec. 8. The winners will be announced afterward.
The voting process is open to the public, encouraging the El Paso community to support their favorite nonprofits. Previous winners include Paso del Norte Children’s Development Center and Gold Out El Paso, which raises awareness for children’s cancer.
Gonzalez invited the public to participate, saying, “Check us out on our social medias, our website.” This website will host the nomination and voting process, with reminders and announcements on social media.
