While Arlington is preparing to host nine FIFA World Cup matches this summer, Fort Worth is prepping two World Cup events of its own — with four-legged competitors.
Dickies Arena in Fort Worth will soon host the Fédération Equestre Internationale World Cup, including the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final and Zen Elite FEI Dressage World Cup Final on April 8-12.
“We have a world-class arena next to a complex that has this huge, historic reputation as the home of the Western equestrian business in North Texas,” Crum said. “The idea that Dickies Arena and the Will Rogers Memorial Center would work together to host an event like FEI shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.”
The 32 four-legged competitors landed at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on April 3 and were transported to Will Rogers, where they will be quarantined due to U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations.
