If you’re heading to work from San Antonio’s Far Westside, you will likely face traffic. Delays linger after a major crash happened on Highway 90 at Loop 1604 on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in San Antonio.

The incident happened on the Eastbound highway at Loop 1604 at around 7:47 a.m. The scene is still active, but has since cleared as of 8:30 a.m. At the time, the traffic monitoring site SigAlert labeled it a rollover accident and reported that the Alamo Canyon subdivision entrance was also blocked.

Vehicles were backed up to Masterson Road and Texas Research Parkway. The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT’s) Transguide camera captured police lights near the crash site.

Drivers are currently traveling about 14-26 mph as of 8:30 a.m.
