Collision closes north and southbound lanes on Dallas North Tollway

A collision near Texas Health Frisco closed all northbound lanes on Dallas North Tollway on Thursday morning. 

The collision occurred at 6:54 a.m. just north of the Panther Creek exit, according to a social media post by the Frisco Police Department. Traffic is being diverted toward the Panther Creek exit. The North Texas Toll Authority only one lane heading south remains open. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the collision was caused by a concrete pump truck hitting the center wall of the highway. The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. 

Officials did not provide an estimated time of clearance but said motorists can expect severe delays. 

“Please use caution in the area and consider taking an alternate route to avoid congestion,” Frisco police said in a post on X.
