The opening of H Mart in Haltom City has been delayed until the fall because of global supply chain factors and the overseas sourcing of store fixtures and equipment, the company announced Thursday.
According to a statement from H Mart, the Korean-inspired superstore, the company expects construction to be finished by mid- to late September. H Mart will then need to stock and “fully equip” the store before opening day.
“We truly appreciate the continued support from the community. Our experience with Haltom City has been excellent, and we are grateful for the partnership,” H Mart said in a statement.
The company said the “the team” is working diligently to secure the necessary fixtures and equipment with many coming from overseas. H Mart cited global supply chain factors.
H Mart also said it is coordinating the logistics with construction to ensure H Mart reaches its opening date as quickly as possible.
“To clarify, any delays encountered have been related to these internal coordination and global supply chain factors; the City of Haltom City has been incredibly accommodating and is not responsible for the current timeline,” the company said.
H Mart is the anchor of a 50-acre mixed use development at 3920 NE Loop 820. The shopping center is 100% leased.
