Pflugerville residents can start preparing for one of the city’s annual events dedicated to bringing culture, music and food together, as the Slice of Pflugerville will take place April 25.
The overview
Slice of Pflugerville takes place in the downtown area, featuring live music, dishes from a variety of cuisines and local vendors offers handmade goods.
This year’s headliner for the festival is Sister Sledge featuring Sledgendary, known for the group’s hit songs like “We Are Family,” “He’s the Greatest Dancer” and “Thinking of You.” The group will perform on the main stage from 4:30-6 p.m.
Prior to the headliner, the main stage will also see Bayou Roux perform from 1:30-3:30 p.m.; and Andrea Daniela play from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
What else?
The festival’s food lineup will feature 20-30 top local vendors. Using one of Slice of Pflugerville’s Bite Passports, guests can try bite-sized samples from each of them.
After trying them all, those with a Bite Passport can cast their vote for their favorite bite. Voting slips are asked to be returned by 3:30 p.m. at the Pflugerville Park and Recreation Department’s booth, located on 1st Street and Main Street. The passport program, though, runs through 6 p.m., so guests can continue tasting and exploring the event.
The Bite Passports cost $26 and can be purchased online here.
The festival will also feature a Kids Zone—an area for children and teens to climb on big rigs, enjoy inflatables, have their faces painted and more.
