Kristopher Shadd Friday was wanted on several violent felony warrants before allegedly leading officers on a dangerous pursuit across city lines.

SAN ANTONIO — A 27-year-old man wanted on multiple violent felony warrants was arrested after allegedly leading officers on a vehicle pursuit from Seguin into San Antonio.

Around 1:53 p.m. on Thursday, the Seguin Police Department said its Criminal Apprehension Street Enforcement (C.A.S.E.) Unit initiated a traffic stop in the 2900 block of West Kingsbury Street on a suspect identified as Kristopher Shadd Friday.

Authorities said Friday fled in a vehicle when officers attempted the stop, prompting a pursuit that continued toward San Antonio. The chase ended in the 7000 block of Interstate 10 after the suspect’s vehicle became disabled.

Friday was taken into custody and faces charges tied to active warrants including parole violation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault impeding breathing, terroristic threat, criminal mischief and interference with emergency assistance.

He was transferred to the custody of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Top Offenders Unit as additional charges of evading arrest in a motor vehicle are being filed in Guadalupe County, according to police.
