Corpus Christi’s Couture for a Cure celebrated its 10th year at Concrete Street, raising money for cancer research while honoring survivors, caregivers and families.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Community members gathered at Concrete Street Amphitheater Saturday night for the American Cancer Society’s annual Couture for a Cure, marking a decade of raising money for cancer research.

This year’s theme, “Haute Havana,” brought live salsa dancers, a fashion show and a silent auction, creating a festive atmosphere with a deeper purpose.
Organizers said the event is about more than celebration — it’s about recognizing the people behind the cause.
Jennifer Butler, Co-Chair of Couture for a Cure, said each moment of the night is meant to honor those impacted by cancer.
“We use this night and this event to celebrate the caretakers and the loved ones of those who have been diagnosed with cancer or those who are fighting the fight,” Butler said. “We really just want to celebrate them and have a great time and raise lots of money for research.”
Each walk down the runway represented someone affected by cancer, highlighting personal stories tied to the disease.

Organizers said proceeds from the night go directly to the American Cancer Society to support life-saving cancer research.
