In the aftermath of a February armed robbery, Fort Worth Police are warning others against perpetrating similar acts of violence in city limits.

The department addressed the Feb. 5 armed robbery in a Thursday social media post. The post contains a video of the incident, which shows a person being held at gunpoint by two individuals outside of a building.

“On February 5, 2026, officers responded to a robbery where a victim arranged to meet individuals through social media to purchase cell phones,” reads the video’s caption.

According to the caption, “During the meeting, the suspects demanded money and forcibly took the victim’s belongings before fleeing.”

The video shows one of the suspects fleeing while the other assailant follows the victim as he walks into the building. When the victim produces his own weapon, the assailant also fled.

“The two suspects then fled the scene with a driver,” the video’s caption states. “Through a follow-up investigation, detectives identified and arrested all three suspects.”

All three individuals are charged with aggravated robbery.

“This type of violence will not be tolerated in Fort Worth,” the social media post states. “If you commit a violent crime in our city, you will be identified, located, and held accountable.”

A day earlier, on April 8, the department announced it made an arrest in an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case. According to the post, on April 4, police responded to a “person with a weapon” call at a business in the 2000 block of Ridgmar Blvd.

When officers arrived, they learned that 49-year-old Scott Bender had been involved in a disturbance in the establishment and had been asked to leave. Shortly after, he was said to have returned with a rifle and confronted an employee.

Similarly, the department wrote, “The Fort Worth Police Department WILL NOT TOLERATE reckless or dangerous behavior with firearms. If you choose to act irresponsibly, you will be held accountable.”
