One worker died and another was critically injured Friday afternoon after they were electrocuted while working from a bucket truck in south Fort Worth, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to an electrocution call at about 1:40 p.m. at a gas station at 3823 East Loop 820, according to the fire department.
The department’s statement said two men were working in a bucket truck near electrical lines when the accident occurred. Both were treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

One of the workers was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The second worker remains in critical condition.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
