“We welcome artists of all levels and disciplines to meet our staff, learn about MCAD’s programs, and consider applying for grant funding or other opportunities,” City of El Paso Quality of Life Managing Director Ben Fyffe, said. “A thriving arts and cultural landscape is a critical component in the well-being of a community, and we are proud to provide a broad range of paid opportunities for local artists, performers, and more.”

The Opportunities Open House gives local artists and creatives an opportunity to learn about grant funding, commissions and other professional opportunities available through the department, according to the City.

In the Fiscal Year 2025, MCAD paid over $913,000 to artists and creatives. Additionally, the department provides a variety of grant programs, paid artist and performer opportunities, vendor opportunities and teaching artist positions.
