Vertical construction on a new Amazon.com Inc. distribution center of nearly 1 million square feet could begin east of Dallas within the next few weeks.

Raylan Smith, assistant director of dunicipal development for the city of Terrell, said work on the e-commerce giant’s 120-acre logistics campus on Airport Road could start within the next 90 days. This comes after the Terrell City Council approved landscape and other site updates to the development’s concept plan during its April 7 meeting.

A spokesperson for Seattle-based Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) said it resubmitted its proposal due to minor changes to the layout of the site.
