(KBTX) – The No. 3 Texas A&M football team’s Nov. 8 road bout at No. 19 Missouri will kick off at 2:30 p.m. and be broadcast on ABC, according to a release from the Southeastern Conference.
The matchup should mark the Aggies’ third ranked game of the season and second ranked game of the conference slate. Both A&M and Missouri are open on this week’s schedule.
Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula suffered a left ankle injury during the Tigers’ 17-10 loss to No. 9 Vanderbilt and “could be out a while,” according to head coach Eli Drinkwitz. True freshman quarterback Matt Zollers filled the void by completing 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown.
“I think injuries are the most unfortunate part of this game, but certainly when the new kid came in at quarterback, I thought he was really impressive,” A&M defensive coordinator Jay Bateman said Monday. “He was a really, highly recruited kid. So, I don’t think it’s going to change a lot. I think it’s going to be our ability to stop the run at the line of scrimmage and control the pass game.”
A&M holds a 10-7 all-time lead in the series with Missouri, which included time as conference-mates in the Big 12. That includes a 4-3 record in Columbia.
