COLLEGE STATION — Saturday, Texas A&M baseball seeks its first series win over Texas in almost a decade and a half.
The Aggies (26-7, 8-5 SEC) took down the Longhorns (27-6, 9-4) 9-8 on Friday>. A win Saturday or would give them their first series win over their in-state rival since taking two of three from them in 2012.

The two rivals have been evenly matched as of late, with A&M holding a 6-4 advantage in the last 10 matchups. However, in their first series as conference foes last season, Texas swept the Aggies in Austin.

On Saturday, A&M will trot out its usual Sunday starter, Aiden Moss, a day early. Texas will start left-hander Luke Harrison.
Sims is a perfect 6-0 on the season, and the right-hander enters the game with a team-leading 3.32 ERA. Harrison (4-0) has also been strong, posting a 2.72 ERA and striking out 42 batters in 43 innings.

Rain has forced the game into a weather delay. Before the stoppage in play, this is what happened in the bottom of the first inning:
Grahovac got the frame started with a single ripped up the middle and Sorrell followed that up with almost the identical thing to put two on. Duer than worked a one-out walk to load the bases with Partida at the plate. The freshman ripped a double down the third base line to drive in two.
Mendoza got the game started with a leadoff double, and a Tinney fly ball to right field advanced him to third. An E6 off Robbins’ bat drove in the game’s first run.
