The Dallas Wings will add a familiar face to their frontcourt for the 2026 season.
“Recruiting Awak back to Dallas and the WNBA was a huge priority for our staff during this offseason,” Wings executive vice president/general manager Curt Miller said in a statement. “Awak’s game has continued to grow since last playing in the WNBA. She impacts the game at both ends of the court. Offensively, she can score at all three levels while defensively, she impacts the game with her length and athleticism. We are truly excited about Awak’s return to Dallas.”
When the Wings drafted Kuier, she became the first player from Finland to play in the WNBA. She appeared in 86 games for the Wings from 2021-23 before returning to Europe after the 2023 campaign. She suited up for Italian team Reyer Venezia when she returned to Europe.
Kuier averaged 2.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 blocks coming off the bench in her first Wings stint.
