The next piece of the initiative to revitalize southeast Fort Worth’s Stop Six neighborhood is on its way.
The Fort Worth Housing Solutions board voted unanimously March 31 to contract with Ojala Partners LP to provide development services for the Hughes House II mixed-income apartment community and issue bonds to finance it.
Hughes House II is one of several apartment communities that Fort Worth Housing Solutions and partners are building to create more than 900 units across Stop Six that will replace the demolished Cavile Place housing project and its 300 units.
Hughes House II will be built at Etta Street and Avenue G, joining the Hughes House I and Hughes House III affordable housing units at the same location.
Hughes House II will have 300 units, a community pool and a splash pad. Financing is closing in April, which will start the construction process, housing solutions officials said.
