COLLEGE STATION — A Texas A&M baseball win Sunday would give the Aggies their first series sweep over Texas in almost 35 years.
However, things won’t be easy for the Maroon and White, as Texas will turn to Dylan Volantis, arguably the Longhorns’ most consistent pitcher. The lefty is 4-0 this season and has a team-best 2.01 ERA.
Who will get the ball Sunday for the Aggies, is still undecided.
However, head coach Michael Earley suggested they may turn to junior Weston Moss. The right-hander entered the weekend as A&M’s usual Saturday starter before the Aggies made a tweak to move Aiden Moss up a day.
Moss is 3-2 with a 6.69 ERA. He’s tallied 35 strikeouts in 36⅓ innings.
