Over 5,000 people are without power after severe thunderstorms hit the San Antonio region on Sunday, April 12. A CPS Energy outage map showed 5,123 customers are currently without power due to 38 active outages across the city at the time of publishing. 

As of 4:49 p.m., customers are dealing with power outages in areas around San Antonio, such as Leon Valley, Shavano Park, Encino Park, Stone Oak and Kirby. 

The number of customers affected by outages has decreased since CPS Energy made its last X post at 4:32 p.m. Sunday, saying there were 34 outages at the time and roughly 7,593 customers were without power. CPS Energy said the largest outages were in the 78258 and 78257 zip codes.
