Colorado Springs police saw several crashes, arson and an arrest involving child sexual abuse last week, among other incidents, with 345 arrests being made in El Paso County.

From April 5 to 11, the Colorado Springs Police Department posted 13 blotter entries to its public database of incidents approved for release. Here is a recap of those entries:

On Tuesday, a motorcyclist died at a hospital after being hit by a pickup truck in the 6800 block of Corporate Drive. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and no arrests were made, but speed is being investigated as a factor in the crash.

On Thursday, two pedestrians were struck by a car at a Walmart in the 3200 block of East Platte Avenue and left with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. An initial investigation revealed that a vehicle lost control, striking the pedestrians and two vehicles before regaining control. Police say speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash.

Also on Thursday, police arrested Theodore Mendoza, 33, on an arrest warrant relating to possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. At the time of arrest, police say they recovered evidence related to the investigation.

On Friday, just after midnight, a Ford Fusion failed to stop at a solid red light at Peterson Road and North Carefree Circle, traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver struck a Jeep, causing it to roll several times. All parties involved were taken to a hospital, and speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash.

Also on Friday, a motorcyclist collided with a truck, causing the rider to become airborne. They sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police reminded the community to be aware of bikers as the weather gets warmer.
