PLANO – Texas Health Plano has broken ground on its $343 million expansion project at 6200 W. Parker Rd.

The eight-story tower will add 168 additional beds to the existing building on the east end of the campus.

The first four floors of the 300,000-sf tower are expected to open in 2028 with 96 beds.

The project will have three shell floors for future expansion, a basement level housing the pharmacy department, upgrades to the emergency department, and expanded specialty care in neuroscience, heart and vascular services, and digestive health.

When finished, the hospital will have 555 beds.
