Isolated showers, storms moving across South Plains

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) -After an active Saturday, storms have mostly moved out of the area, and Sunday will feature a more relaxed forecast.

This morning may see some lingering clouds and leftover showers will continue to move east as the morning goes on.

Today will be mostly dry with highs in the 80s.

Isolated thunderstorms remain possible tonight. The severe risk is lower today than yesterday.

However, some may be strong-to-severe with damaging winds up to 60 mph and large hail.

This is not expected to be a widespread storm pattern. Saturday storms used up most of the energy needed for storm development.

Sunday’s storm chances will be hit-or-miss with the window of opportunity opening after 1 PM and fizzle after sunset.
