One dead, multiple people injured Sunday in 6-vehicle crash on Fort Worth freeway

A person died late Sunday in a major crash on a Fort Worth freeway, according to police.

Officers were called at 10:38 p.m. to a reported crash in the 4900 block of South Freeway on Interstate 35W, according to Fort Worth police.

Officers found a six-vehicle accident and multiple people had to be taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

An unidentified person involved in the crash died at the scene.
