October 28th is National First Responders Day, a day dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who run toward danger when the rest of us run away. From firefighters and police officers to EMTs, dispatchers, and other emergency personnel these everyday heroes work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. So yeah, they deserve some appreciation.

This may be a biased opinion but El Paso is home to some of the greatest first responders ever!! My brother-in-law was a fireman, now a Lieutenant, so I believe that every day we should appreciate our local first responders, but on this day we appreciate them a little bit more!

Now, If you’ve ever wanted to shoot your shot with a firefighter, paramedic, or police officer, today’s your day. Or even if you don’t want to shoot your shot but you want to make a first responder smile or giggle today then here are some clever, funny, and totally heartwarming pickup lines that might just earn you a smile or even get you out of a ticket!
