EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — High-flying lucha libre took over East El Paso over the weekend, drawing families for a community event that organizers said was aimed at giving back.

The community gathered for a family-friendly show benefiting the Best Friends Forever association. Fans watched an action-packed card featuring masked luchadores, with high-flying moves and crowd-pleasing moments.

“It’s very important to help out the community first of all. We gotta help El Paso, we gotta help each other. So we’re always trying to see who we can help, what organization,” said El Dragon, a professional wrestler. “Also Lucha Libre is part of the culture, part of the tradition here in El Paso so we have to support that as well.”

The event was organized by God of the Ring, bringing the community together not only for entertainment but also to support the cause.
