El Paso represented at Coachella

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso was represented on the big stage at Coachella on Sunday, April 12, with Latina superstar Karol G.

Greg Gonzalez, an El Pasoan and frontman for the band Cigarettes After Sex, performed an unreleased song, “Después de Ti,” with headliner Karol G on the Coachella Stage on Sunday.

Cigarettes After Sex, known for their hits “Cry” and “K.”, was formed in 2008 in El Paso by Gonzalez. The band released its first album, “I.” in 2012, which was recorded in the Sun City.

Gonzalez is an alum of Eastwood High School and the University of Texas at El Paso, according to El Paso’s City Magazine.

Gonzalez wasn’t the only artist Karol G brought to the stage. She also brough Becky G to perform “MAMII” and Mariah Angeliq for “EL MAKINON”

Karol G will headline Coachella again next Sunday, April 19.
