This Thanksgiving, Fort Worth will come together for one of our city’s most cherished traditions, the YMCA Fort Worth Turkey Trot. Presented by Texas Health and Moritz Dealerships, the Trot is moving to a vibrant new location in downtown Fort Worth. Thousands of runners, walkers, and families will fill the streets, not just to log miles before the big meal, but to make a difference.
Because when you join the YMCA Turkey Trot, you’re running for more than a finish line. You’re running for families.
For over 140 years, the YMCA has been the heartbeat of community life in Fort Worth and surrounding communities. As a nonprofit, the Y doesn’t measure success by revenue, but by impact. Every entry in the Turkey Trot helps the YMCA ensure:
Parents can work because child care is affordable and safe.
Teens have a place to belong and grow into their best selves.
Seniors find connection and health, breaking the cycle of isolation.
Neighbors improve their health and wellness—because being healthy isn’t a luxury, it’s a right.

The YMCA is a safety net for thousands of families across our city. It’s a place where education, health, and belonging come together and where everyone is welcome, regardless of background or income.
That’s why the Turkey Trot matters. Each step taken downtown this Thanksgiving is a step toward stronger families, healthier neighbors, and a more connected community. Whether you run, walk, sponsor, or encourage your team to participate, your involvement fuels programs that make Fort Worth a better place for everyone. Together, we can ensure that every person from a child, parent, senior, or teen, has access to the opportunities they need to thrive.
So, lace up your shoes, gather your family, rally your coworkers, and be part of something bigger than a race. Be part of Fort Worth’s tradition. Be part of the movement.
Register today and join us downtown this Thanksgiving.
