One of the Alamo City’s most popular homegrown mini-chains is eyeing a new part of town for its next big move.
With four locations in and around San Antonio, Ukrainian-owned Laika Cheesecakes & Espresso has a new project details page filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), indicating that a new location is headed to TPC Parkway. According to the filing, construction is expected to begin on May 8, 2026, with a projected completion date of November 9, 2026.
The estimated cost to build out the new Laika is around $200,000. However, details on the TDLR project filings can change without notice.
In 2022 and 2023, Laika Cheesecake put fundraising efforts towards Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion and the subsequent war, which is ongoing as of April 2026. Laika’s fundraisers helped provide medical supplies and other necessary gear for Ukraine’s soldiers.
