A person died Sunday night in a six-vehicle wreck on Interstate 35W in south Fort Worth, police said.

The vehicles collided about 10:45 p.m. in the freeway’s south lanes between East Felix Street and Interstate 20, according to a Fort Worth police spokesperson.

Beyond a person who was pronounced dead at the scene, multiple people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the name or age of the person who died.

Police did not release information on the type of vehicles, their direction of travel, whether an offense was involved or other details.

Detectives’ investigation of the case is incomplete.
