EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 35-year-old man is facing a serious charge for allegedly threatening to harm military and law enforcement officers on a social media post.
Christian Sanchez of El Paso was arrested by El Paso police after he allegedly “uploaded a post on Facebook threatening to harm certain individuals.” Police noted that in the post, Sanchez threatened to go to Fort Bliss and police stations to kill police and military personnel.
KTSM 9 News obtained the arrest affidavit, which included a copy of what the post read.

A 311 call initiated an investigation that led authorities to Sanchez’s arrest in El Paso County. According to the court documents, a city-wide manhunt involving local law enforcement and the FBI were coordinated to track down Sanchez.

Sanchez was located inside an “attached room” to a home along Stacey Ann Lane.
The suspect admitted to posting the threatening message when he was interrogated by police investigators
He was taken into custody for outstanding traffic warrants and charged with terroristic threat.
He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on Sunday, April 12 on a $5,000 bond for the terroristic threat charge.
