A Houston-area man has been charged for allegedly attacking the home of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman with a Molotov cocktail.
Daniel Moreno-Gama, 20, has been charged with damage and destruction of property by means of explosives and possession of an unregistered firearm, according to federal court documents.

The U.S. Department of Justice charged Moreno-Gama shortly after the FBI Houston office raided a home in Spring, located north of Houston, on Monday.
According to the FBI Houston office, agents conducted “court-authorized law enforcement activity” at the home. The FBI did not provide any further details regarding the nature of the raid or why it was being conducted, and the Houston office did not immediately respond to a request for further details.

FOX News reported the property raided by authorities is a home connected to Moreno-Gama, who was arrested in California last Friday and accused of attempting to firebomb Altman’s San Francisco home. Moreno-Gama was arrested after allegedly showing up at OpenAI’s company headquarters on Friday and threatening to burn down the building.
Altman is the co-founder and CEO of OpenAI, the artificial intelligence research and development company responsible for ChatGPT.
