Az Fudd goes number one overall.

She is reunited with Paige Bueckers in Dallas.

She and Paige played together at Connecticut.

she and Paige, according to multiple reports, have been in a, in a relationship that we all know about at this point.

you get this, coming together of everybody, this opportunity for the best player to be going to the best situation.

This just feels like a great Disney-like story chapter for Dallas about to happen.

It really does.

It actually feels like there is going to be a movie made if the Dallas Wings could actually do something of consequence down the line with these pieces.

But, but yeah, this was This, this felt like the right decision.

This felt like the right, coming together of, two stars who, as you said, have played together, have known each other for a really long time, played together at UConn for several years, including in that 2024-2025 season when UConn went and won the national championship.

This is a situation now where already, AZ Fudd has a, a very, simple and easy, draw with, with Paige already being there.

She has a, a familiarity with the city of Dallas in that sense and has a familiarity with what her other star teammate is going to be able to do.

So, is this going to give the Wings a chance to really, resurrect themselves after having a, a really rough, first season for Paige Bueckers, who was, of course, hurt for part of the year?

who knows?

You know, I, I think certainly it makes the Wings a lot better.

does it make them a playoff contender in year one of this, pairing?

I’m not sure if we could say that, but I’m certainly, excited to see what they possibly, can do moving forward.

You can make her relationship with Paige either a plus or, frankly, a minus, because the team takes some sort of a risk if, if that relationship doesn’t end up being great in the long term.

What does that mean for two players that are playing together?

Of course, you expect professionalism is fine, but it does at least become concerning.

You don’t want her to be drafted because of the relationship or her not to be drafted because of the relationship.

I think, to be clear, this is just about AZ being a great basketball player, and she was deserving of this number one overall spot for her, and it’s an exciting time for them.
