Former Texans WR Steven Sims Jr. to host FREE youth football camp

Houston – Houston native Steven Sims Jr. is proof that perseverance pays off. From going undrafted to carving out a career in the NFL, his journey hasn’t been easy. Now, he’s making sure the next generation doesn’t have to fight as hard just to be seen.

Through his Must See Foundation, Sims has already impacted more than 500 kids across Houston and beyond. The foundation focuses on giving young people access to mentorship, resources, and real opportunities through sports and education.

For Sims, giving back started early and is deeply personal. He shared that both of his grandmothers battled breast cancer, something that shaped how he uses his platform today. Proceeds go directly toward funding the foundation’s free summer football camp, which gives kids hands-on coaching and the chance to connect with mentors who look like them and understand their journey.
