Investigators arrested Devion Williams, who’s believed to be responsible for at least 10 robberies in east Harris County.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Detectives said they arrested a suspect tied to a string of armed robberies targeting Subway restaurants across east Harris County.

Investigators said the break in the case came after a detailed follow-up investigation, when they were able to identify a vehicle connected to several of the robberies. Then, on Sunday, detectives learned a Subway on Woodforest Boulevard near Normandy Street had just been hit again.

Detectives said the same suspect and vehicle were involved. They tracked down the car and relayed its direction of travel to patrol units. Deputies soon pulled the vehicle over and took the driver, identified as 18-year-old Devion Williams, into custody.

But the situation didn’t end there. Authorities said a second suspect, who was riding in the car, jumped out and ran. That person is still on the loose.

He was after cold cash not cold cuts.
