Plano ISD is proud to announce the appointments of two new administrators in the district.
At the January 20 Board of Trustees meeting, Dr. Tramy Tran was introduced as the Director of the district’s Welcome & Enrollment Centers within Student, Family and Community Services.
Dr. Tran joined Plano ISD 26 years ago as a bilingual teacher at Forman Elementary.
She served 17 years at Forman as general education teacher, special education teacher, counselor, assistant principal and principal. Dr. Tran transferred to Dooley Elementary in July 2016, serving as principal.
For the last 3 years, she has been the principal of Murphy Middle School.
Dr. Tran is known to build collaborative relationships with her communities and has been honored as a PTA Lifetime Member at her campuses. Her knowledge, skills and advocacy for students and families will be a positive addition to the team.
At the February 3 meeting, Dr. Liliana Marquez was announced as the new Principal of Christie Elementary.Â
Dr. Marquez brings 16 years of experience in education. She began her career as a bilingual teacher serving students from kindergarten through upper elementary grades. In Plano ISD, she supported students as a bilingual third-grade teacher at Barron Elementary, where she built a strong foundation in instructional excellence and student-centered learning.
Throughout her career, Dr. Marquez has served as both an assistant principal and principal, and most recently as the district leader for Dual Language and ESL programs in Lewisville ISD.Â
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and a master’s degree in Educational Administration, reflecting her strong commitment to service, learning and leadership.
