SAN ANTONIO – Strong winds will trigger a Red Flag Warning in San Antonio from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The cold front that went through Tuesday is expected to bring strong winds that could create dangerous wildfire conditions.
This means no outdoor burning, avoid parking on dry grass (hot engines can ignite fires), do not throw cigarette butts on the ground, secure trailer chains to prevent.
Additionally, Bexar County has extended the current burn ban for an additional 90 days, effective until February 9, 2026.
Burn Ban Means:
No outdoor burning in unincorporated Bexar County.Violation is a Class C misdemeanor with fines up to $500.
