LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – CASA of the South Plains will begin on-site ticket sales this weekend for its annual Casas for CASA raffle, a fundraising event that supports advocacy for children in foster care.
Sales start Friday, April 17, at Market Street on 98th Street and Quaker and will continue every Friday and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., according to event organizers. Community members can view custom-built playhouses, storage buildings and other items and purchase raffle tickets for $5 each.
Proceeds from the event help fund CASA’s mission of providing trained volunteer advocates for children in foster care across six South Plains counties.
Organizers said this year’s fundraising goal is $90,000. Prizes include a custom-built playhouse, storage building, enclosed trailer and a $3,500 Mastercard gift card.
The event is supported by local sponsors, including Market Street, Betenbough Homes and Elevate Building Supply, along with contributions from area businesses, schools and volunteer groups that help construct raffle items.
CASA of the South Plains reported that in 2025, 374 children received advocacy services, supported by 222 volunteers who donated more than 5,800 hours. The organization said those efforts helped 120 children in foster care achieve permanent placements.
Each raffle ticket purchase supports CASA’s work in providing a voice for children in court and connecting them with consistent adult advocates, the organization said.
