LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Volunteer Center of Lubbock will host an Earth Day park cleanup on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Leroy Elmore Park, 6501 Peoria Avenue.
Community members are invited to join the effort. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
Participants will help remove litter and improve the park used by the surrounding neighborhood.
“Showing up to care for a shared space is one of the simplest ways to serve,” Hanne-Lise Parker, engagement director at the Volunteer Center of Lubbock, said. “It brings people together and makes an immediate difference.”
Cleanup supplies, including bags and trash pickers, will be provided. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to work outdoors.
Registration is available at getconnected.volunteerlubbock.org.
