The Corpus Christi Independent School District is hosting a Pre-K registration event to help families enroll eligible 3 and 4-year-old students ahead of the upcoming school year.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the CCISD Instructional Resource Center at 4321 Prescott St.
District officials say certified teachers and paraprofessionals will be available in each classroom, and families can learn about both free and tuition-based Pre-K options offered across all elementary campuses.
CCISD notes that free Pre-K is available to eligible students and to full-time district employees.
Families are encouraged to bring hard copies of required documents, including a birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of residency, immunization records, proof of income, and applicable assistance program information such as a SNAP or TANF case number.
For families not eligible for free Pre-K, the monthly tuition is $486.
District officials say the program focuses on early learning for 3- and 4-year-olds and prepares students for kindergarten readiness.
