I’m seeing a lot of good quarterbacks in this year’s draft. Any chance the Cowboys will pick one on Day 3? – Steve Craig/Newport, WA

Mickey: I’m not quite sure about there being “a lot of good quarterbacks” in this year’s draft, and that might depend on what you are looking for at quarterback. A potential future starter or a potential future backup? Seems to be more potential future backups in this draft, but then the Cowboys already used a fifth rounder last year on Joe Milton as a developmental type QB. Don’t have a problem with like using a late Day 3 pick on a quarterback if just trying to interview a potential extra arm for training camp, but then probably can find that in an undrafted free agent if looking for a practice squad type. Taking a quarterback if still having a level of confidence in Milton’s development would be low on my priority list.
